A Practice Workshop for Dermatology Chief Residents

In order to ensure that Chief Residents in the dermatology setting are trained appropriately in all aspects of practice management, personal development and leadership skills prior to commencing their role as a chief resident. Founders of the Chief Academy have setup a weekend program to help prepare rising chief residents in dermatology to be the best chiefs possible. It has received great reviews over the past three years from attendees and program directors from around the country. The format of the program consists of very concise lectures , followed by extensive time for panel discussion with the attendees and the faculty.

It is limited to a small number of residents and is held in a theatre style conference room to maximize discussion and sharing of ideas to improve residency experiences. List of topics is modified annually based upon feedback from previous chief academy graduates. Several of the graduates have returned as instructors to the Chief Academy meetings. Our core curriculum has stayed consistent, fine tuning and certain details have been made based on annual attendee feedback.
